Athlete of the Week: Mahtab PARSAMEHR (IRI)

Antalya and 4th in Ogden—she has deserved to qualify for the World Cup Final in Istanbul on 24-25 September.

This is the first time an athlete from Iran will compete in the World Cup Final. And PARSAMEHR will not be alone, since her teammate Seyedeh-Vida HALIMIANAVVAL will also be present in Turkey next weekend.

At 22 years old, PARSAMEHR has reached her best World Ranking this summer: 3rd position. After several silver medals in team events in 2010, this year has brought her to the public's notice when she won the World Cup Stage 2 in Antalya. After that, she finished 4th individually and team silver medallist at the World Championships in Turin.
