3 Peaks 3 Weeks Challenge

Challenge Yourself In Africa, For Africa

Founded in 2004 the 3 Peaks 3 Weeks Challenge (www.3peaks3weeks.org) is an annual all-female climbing event which aims to summit three of Africa’s highest peaks in less than three weeks raising money and awareness for the three peak issues currently facing Africa; environment, education and health.

3 Peaks 3 Weeks Challenge

3 Peaks 3 Weeks provides an opportunity for women from around the world to experience the diverse culture and beauty of East Africa while contributing to ongoing development efforts.  This region of Africa promises the globe's most magnificent wildlife parks, unsullied beaches, thriving coral reefs, ancient cultures, beautiful Swahili cities and snow caped mountains.

3 Peaks 3 Weeks provides an opportunity for women from around the world to experience the diverse culture and beauty of East Africa while contributing to ongoing development efforts.

3 Peaks 3 Weeks was established as a fundraising event, with each climber using the mammoth physical task as a catalyst to raise money for East African based non-profit organisations.   To date over £250,000 has been raised and the 2010 team is actively working to increase this amount. They will head to Africa in January of next year to climb the mountains.

Sign up now to join the next group! 3 Peaks 3 Weeks is now in search of a team for 2011. Places on the challenge go fast and for safety and environmental reasons, spaces are limited to 12 women each year. Registration closes on July 1st, 2009 to allow adequate time for team selection, fundraising and training. 3 Peaks 3 Weeks selects a team of women who are passionate about the issues facing Africa and the dedication they demonstrate towards fundraising.
