24 Women came to play AWBT’s $500 Added WPBA Qualifier at Metro Sportz Bar!

The final match was between hot-seat winner Holly Sholes and Susan Mello. Since this was a true double elimination tournament, Susan would have to beat Holly in two races to 7. Holly earned her way to this point by winning the following matches: bye, Bernie Store (6), Kristie Ortega (4), Kristin Haney (4). Mello won her first game against Justine Bishop (4), then was knocked to the B-side in the 2nd round by Kristie Ortega (7-2). She then fought her way back by winning the following matches: Pat Schultz (4), Dawn Anderson (5), Marissa Hallett (1), Holly Ryan (4), Kristie Ortega (4), Susan Williams (2), Kristin Haney (3). Holly won the first match and beat Mello by a score of 7 to 5.

7 people came back to play in the free second chance tournament on Sunday. Congrats to newcomer Tina Hess for 1st place and $55 and to Pat Schultz for 2nd place and $25 in prize money!

The AWBT also held a raffle for a beautiful J. Pechauer Custom Cue valued at $520 and a stunning Premier Designs earring/necklace set valued at $72 donated by Zita Galloway! Congratulations to our very own Linda Adams for winning the cue! She is a lucky little lady as I think this is her 3rd or 4th cue that I can remember her winning! And congratulations to Terry Shockard, a regular at Metro, for winning the earrings and necklace! Thanks also to everyone for buying raffle tickets! The AWBT raised $252 for the AWBT points fund!

A huge thanks goes out to Louie and Becky and the whole staff at Metro Sportz Bar! We love you guys and always look forward to playing here!

We hope to see you all at the next AWBT WPBA Qualifier which will be December 15 and 16 at Sixshooters Peoria! This tourney will also be presented by J. Pechauer Custom Cues! See you There!
