2009 US Synchronized Skating Championships set to go off next week in Portland Maine

The 2009 U.S. Synchronized Skating Championships will take place March 4-7 at the Cumberland County Civic Center in Portland, Maine. The North Atlantic Figure Skating Club of Falmouth, Maine, is the host club of this year’s event.


Competition begins Thursday, March 5 with the juvenile free skate and will conclude Saturday, March 7 with the senior free skate.


Icenetwork.com will provide live and on-demand video coverage of the event for “Season Pass” subscribers. The site will also feature live results, recaps, blogs and photo galleries for subscribers and nonsubscribers.


In addition to online coverage, Comcast Sportsnet will bring taped coverage of the event to households in the northeast. 2 p.m. – Juvenile free skate
3:30 p.m. – Intermediate free skate
6:30 p.m. – Junior short program

Friday, March 6, 2009
2:50 p.m. – Masters free skate
5:30 p.m. – Senior short program
7 p.m. – Junior free skate

Saturday, March 7, 2009
12:30 p.m. – Adult free skate
2:25 p.m. – Collegiate free skate
5:30 p.m. – Novice free skate
8:05 – Senior free skate

Event tickets are on sale and may be purchased at www.theciviccenter.com or at the arena box office on the days of the event. Individual event tickets are $25 per day. All-event passes
