Only UCI World Championships and BMX Supercross World Cup events offer more points as category 1 and 2 events respectively.
Competitors must have a USA Cycling BMX international license to compete in the UCI events.
With BMX now an Olympic Sport, the UCI Continental Calendar provides a significant opportunity for both the United States and American athletes, commented Steve Johnson, USA Cycling chief executive officer.
