16 Year Old Sarah Mason Youngest Ever To Contest ASP World Tour Title

16 Year Old Sarah Mason Youngest Ever To Contest ASP World Tour Title

16 year old New Zealand surfer Sarah Mason has received confirmation this
week that she will surf in the next three ASP world championship tour
events of 2012 http://www.aspworldtour.com/schedule/asp-womens-world-tour-schedule/>

After a strong finish in the Roxy pro in February, Sarah currently sits 9th on the world title rankings <http://www.aspworldtour.com/rankings/asp-womens-world-title-ranking/>
and at 16 years old she is the youngest ever surfer to contest an ASP world
tour title.

After just falling short of world tour qualification in 2011 by way of a
count back, Sarah has now found her way into the first four events of the
tour as the tour's first alternate surfer after Justine Dupont (FR) and
Silvana Lima (BR) both sustained injuries.

Sarah said of the opportunity to compete in the events, "I'm stoked, I get
more experience and confidence every time I surf in a big event and I love
bowly right handers so I'm excited to see how I go at Bells next week."

The next event is the Rip Curl Women's Pro at Bells<http://live.ripcurl.com/?bells2012>which will run from April 3rd
to 14th at Bells Beach, Victoria, Australia
and boasts a prize purse of US$110,000.
