U.S. Athletes Earn Medals

POLK CITY, Fla. ⎯ The U.S. Disabled Water Ski Team earned the bronze medal and seven
U.S. team members won individual medals at the 8th Disabled Water Ski World Championships, May 17- 20, in Townsville, Australia. Eight athletes represented the 2007 U.S. Disabled Water Ski Team at the biennial event. A total of 52 athletes from 15 countries participated in the championships. Great Britain won the gold medal for the second consecutive time and Australia earned its first silver medal at the event. It was the first time that the U.S. Disabled Water Ski Team did not finish among the top-two placements at the championships.
