The Long Beach Autumn Regatta 2007
The first event, “The Long Beach Autumn Regatta 2007”, will be held on 15 and 16 September (Saturday and Sunday) at the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club (RHKYC) located at Kellett Island, Causeway Bay. RHKYC Commodore, Mr. Harald Dudok van Heel commented, “Since Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club (RHKYC) was founded in 1894, we have been involved in the organization of yacht races and regattas to promote sailing and cruising.
RHKYC is pleased to celebrate the opening of the new sailing season with Hang Lung Properties sponsoring “The Long Beach Autumn Regatta 2007” where over 80 keelboats will be competing in ten different classes over two days in Hong Kong’s stunning Victoria Harbour.” Assistant Director of Hang Lung Properties, Mr. Wilson Wong, said that, “Hang Lung Properties is proud to sponsor an event of the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club, one of the oldest and most prestigious sports clubs in Hong Kong. Sailing is a challenging yet enjoyable sport, requiring a high level of teamwork, speed and accuracy.
It appeals to high achievers and energetic, sporty individuals who pursue high standards and a better quality of life. This is our target market segment for The Long Beach. Conveniently located in West Kowloon, The Long Beach is situated along some 500 feet of Victoria Harbour frontage with a waterfront promenade. We believe the Regatta offers a foretaste of the unique lifestyle at The Long Beach. We expect to launch the sales at the end of this year.”
The Long Beach, another major development by Hang Lung Properties after The HarbourSide, houses 1,829 residential units in 8 high-rise towers. About 70% of the units enjoy harbour view. Typical units include 2-bedroom units of approximately 700 sq. ft. and 3-bedroom units of approximately 1,100 sq. ft. with a master en-suite and maid’s quarter. The development also features duplexes and penthouses of up to approximately 2,900 sq. ft. The Long Beach is situated across the road from the Olympic MTR station development, and just several minutes away from Central via MTR.
Furthermore, with its proximity to the West Kowloon Expressway, travelling to the airport and the Mainland cannot be any easier. The Long Beach is destined to become the new focus of the Hong Kong property market. The Long Beach website: www.long-beach.com.hk
